New bus line a boost for Hunts Point business
Ed Taylor usually finds himself in his car outside a subway station in the middle of the night, waiting to shuttle his employees to work deep inside the Hunts Point peninsula because there is no public transportation.
The 3 a.m. runs will end for Taylor, however, as the MTA announced it would introduce a new bus line through western Hunts Point next year. The influx of public transportation to the area promises to deliver new economic vitality to the poorest congressional district in the country…
